Mansfield competed in the Hockomock League Tournament on Sunday. Mansfield was represented in 10 of the 14 weight classes.
Missing four weight classes made it very difficult for the team to place high in the tournament format.
The Hornets finished 7th as a result but fought hard all day and had eight wrestlers place in the top six.
Senior captain Sam McLoughlin (132) led the way making it to the finals and placing 2nd, going 2-1 with 2 pins.
Senior Captain Joe Herrick (138) and Tyler McKay (195) both placed 3rd going 3-1 with 1 pin and 2 pins respectively.
Shane Walsh (160) placed 4th going 3-2 with 2 pins. Max Trowbridge (170) and Sam Caskey (220) placed 5th, both were 2-2 with 2 pins.
Mike Chace (152) placed 6th at 2-3 and 2 pins. Sam Borden (145) also finished 6th going 1-3 with 1 pin.
Mansfield will hold their senior night festivities on Wednesday, 7 p.m. at home, against rival Foxboro
