Varsity Field Hockey
On Friday, October 5th, the Hornets beat Stoughton 1-0. The Hornets got off to a slow start but Senior Meg Doherty scored in the second half. Mansfield dominated the whole but couldn't score. The Hornets had 18 shots on goal.
On Tuesday, October 9th, the Hornets won 2-0. Both goals were scored in the second half. Senior Maddie Hoffman scored the first goal off a corner assisted by Senior Gina Stoyle. Stoyle also scored the second goal which was assisted by Senior Meg Doherty. Sophomore Crysta Pepicelli had a shut out in goal. The team will play Canton, Wednesday, October 10th.

Field Hockey
On Wednesday, October 3rd, Mansfield played Sharon. Mansfield had an outstanding game, and the Hornets won with a final score of 7-1.
In the first half, Mansfield scored four goals and three more in the second. The scorers were Seniors Gina Stoyle, Maddie Hoffman, S Kendall Florea, Rachel Levine, and Alex Carey. Carey had two assists in the game as well. Junior Kelsey Ferreira also scored 2 goals to add to the score.
Mansfield will host Stoughton on Friday, October 5th.

Field Hockey
Mansfield hosted Franklin on October 1st, and Franklin defeate Mansfield 3-2. The game was very competitive and well played by the Hornets. Both goals were scored on corners, with one goal going to Senior Gina Stoyle and the other going to Senior Meg Doherty. Sophomore Crysta Pepicelli had a great game with 14 saves in total.
The Hornets will travel to Sharon on Wednesday, October 3rd.
