Joe and Mike anchored a defense with Brad Williamson, Tim White, Jack Braidt, and John Menz. Helping the defense off the bench were Zach Smargon, Taylor Ninesling and Chris Elsner. With no varsity experience, 1st year goal keeper Colin Golden did very well, getting better as the year went on and ended the season with a very respectable 1.67 goals against average. Backing up Colin in goal were Joe Campbell and Alax Tarlton.
Captain Brendan Murphy anchored the midfield with 3 goals and 11 assists, stats good for 7th in the league. He was joined in the midfield by Alex Thompson, Jimmy Murphy, Chris Murphy, Sam McLoughlin, Stephen Murphy, Michael Carchedi and Andrew Sarkis.

Freshmen Soccer
The 2012 Boys Freshman Soccer team had a very successful year. The team concluded the season with a 7-6-5 overall record. The boys showed excellent effort, determination, and most importantly attitude throughout the course of the season. Led by captains Charlie Rogers and Charlie Goldberg, the team illustrated great camaraderie with one another and established great unity collectively. One of the major highlights was our victory over King Phillip at Memorial Park where we hung on to a 1-0 lead against a very good team and showed excellent communication and perseverance to come across with a win. Skillfully, Mansfield has a very talented freshman class and I see them being very successful in years to come.
